Where Art Thou?

Folks, this is just to tell you people that I am still alive and kicking.

Sorry for the apparent absence of myself in DA, as I have not updated my journal in like... what... 1 month?

And... well, I haven't uploaded that much artwork per se into my DA account either. Most of them are scraps, sketches and quick photo shots - forgive me.

But it's slightly obvious - the paperwork ... and studies, but however, I am not complaining about myself studying, you see.

But rather mildly irritated that I am not doing enough here in DA. I can come back later here though, right now I have like 506 deviations to clear, so I do apologize for not communicating enough with you folks. (I love you all so much

)

However nevertheless, real-life priorities come in first, so sit on and tight, I've got something to show you in the middle part of this journal onwards.

Anime Festival Asia 2008

The Anime Festival Asia (AFA ‘08) - according to what many local anime enthusiasts said - is "the first ever grand-scale anime convention in South East Asia".

Well, I personally haven't attended any Singaporean purely-anime convention here, except possibly "Games Convention Asia 2008" (GCA - yes, I DID hold high hopes on its importance, however it sucked slightly due to lack of innovative titles) and "Singapore Toy and Comic Convention 2008" (STCC - which kicked major butt, but shame on me, I don't have money to buy more toys, LOL!).

As usual, Japanese animation companies such as Studio 4C (the animating team behind Batman Gotham Knight and Transformers: Animated) and retailers such as Bandai (yeah, I know, MOAR GUNDAMS

) will be there to showcase the best of anime culture for two days.

Two days???

Well, at least it's on WEEKENDS...

Thing is, it's within my EXAM month, but... as I've said, it's on 22nd and 23rd November 2008, so it's not exactly smacked in the middle of my actual exams, so I MIGHT risk a little on Saturday (as a Visual Arts Society member) to go and attend this convention. (But what about my revision, eh? I'll think about that later...) Oh yeah, baby...

don't you think Gundam seed is a bit over rated? there were lots awesome Gundam shows like MS0083, but seed seems the only thing people talks about now. Upon the Gundam macha design, its good its grate but we seriously need some new elements here, the classic Gundam concept is too boxy compare to modern anime or games like EVA, Zone of the ender, and bunch more.
