Artist's Comments

The reflection of sunlight off the water surface, and with little marine life swimming through, gives it the perfect composition to shoot.

Pretty cool, can see the shadow of the chain-link fence behind.

Could try a polaroid lens if you can get your hands on one. It cuts through the surface and lets you see the fish bit clearer.

Yep, the strong light caused the reflection on the water surface, which blocked the view of the aquamarine life swimming in the water. Thanks. :)

Yeah, you're right; I didn't adjusted the light settings for the digital camera, I was misled that my manual sight would help me take a good photo, but too much reflection killed it. Thanks anyway. :)

Thanks for the tip. I was searching on Google on more info on polaroid lens, but somehow results seemed to focus on lens filters and polarizers - stating that polarizers increase the risk of flare. I am not sure, the info I got was from here: [link] Any suggestions? :?

Well, it's actually a filter really. Thin piece of thingie you stuff infront of the lens.
Supposedly cuts surface glare, glass reflections etc, so allowing you to take pics of fish without getting the camera wet.

Or so my dad told me.
You're welcome.

Water level's a little shallow - I don't think I would want to submerge into the water just to take a shot, don't you think? Or maybe I can use another angle to take the same shot - but then again, it would mean the image is tilted. :o Regardless, thanks again.

Alternative is you shade out the sunlight. but requires very still water.
